These gentlemen, excluding David Pastor combined have 107 years  Toastmasters experience.  We are proud and honored to have dedicated members and leaders.  They have been an inspiration to us and we feel their dedication, participation and leadership merits and is worthy of TM recognition.

One of longest members James Johnson will be celebrating his 92nd birthday on September 6th.  Mr. Johnson is active in our club and just gave a wonderful speech to our club yesterday on “WHY HE JOINED TOASTMASTERS”.

Nordonia Hills Gaveliers, Club (#912) recently interviewed these gentlemen and we would like to share their experiences with others…

GEORGE PASTOR /  Designation – ACS, CL

How many years have you been in Toastmasters? 27 

How many Toastmaster clubs have you participated in? 1

What are your designations? ACS, CL

What was your profession? Executive Director of the Northern Petroleum Retailers Association aka NOPRA 

What are your hobbies? Ballroom and Polka Dancing, Hunting, Bowling 

Why did you join Toastmasters? I joined Toastmasters to prepare for a job and to learn how to communicate with others

RICHARD “DICK” KLUGE / Designation – ATM

How many years have you been in Toastmasters? 30

How many Toastmaster clubs have you participated in? 2

What is your designation? ATM (Able Toastmaster ended about 1997, replaced with ATM-B and later AC-B awards)

What was your profession? Insurance Sales

What are your hobbies? Community Service, Politics, Communication

Why did you join Toastmasters? I joined Toastmasters for personal growth

JAMES “JIM” JOHNSON / Designation ABC

How many years have you been in Toastmasters? 50 

How many Toastmaster clubs have you participated in? 8 or 9 

What is your designation? ACB

What was your profession? Chemical Engineer

What are your hobbies? Reading, Writing, Arithmetic

Why did you join Toastmasters? I joined Toastmasters to gain confidence and learn to speak comfortable with people

  1. I love my home club! I’ve learned so much about the importance of being an effective leader as well as the need to communicate efficiently and eloquently. Mr. Johnson, Mr. Kluge and Mr. Pastor have been very influential to me and supportive of my endeavors! Brecksville-Nordonia Hills Gaveliers continues to be successful and a thriving club in District 10 because of the “Big 3”! It’s an honor to be a member of this club!
