District 10 Member Spotlight: Kim Krajci, DTM

District 10 Member Spotlight:

Kim Krajci, DTM

Toastmasters member for 9 years

Currently the VP of Public Relations for Cuyahoga Falls Toastmasters

Completed 2 paths in Pathways and has started on her 3rd path

How did Kim choose her 3rd Path? Find Out Here!

Notable Toastmasters Accomplishments:

Kim has earned 3 Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) awards, 1 in Pathways.

Kim wants to be recognized in District 10 as “Queen of the Universe” for her social media contributions throughout the district, including Facebook and Meetup.  She occasionally wears a tiara for just that reason.

Kim has facilitated several Youth Leadership Programs. In addition, she has helped college students develop basic public speaking skills at HAkron, a hackathon event at the University of Akron. Computer science and engineering students collaborate in teams to develop an innovative product or program, and then pitch their invention to a panel of judges all within 24 hours (similar to Shark Tank).

Kim is the mastermind and host of Toastmasters 101 – a podcast production of Toastmasters District 10, currently the #1 Toastmasters podcast in the world.

What is the Toastmasters 101 Podcast?

As stated on Toastmasters101.net, “Toastmasters 101 podcast provides insight and advice for people who want to improve their public speaking and leadership skills with Toastmasters.”

Toastmasters 101 is for any member who wants to stretch themselves by trying something new in Toastmasters from Pathways to Contests, to visiting an event outside of District 10 (beyond Northeast Ohio). Even after earning 3 DTMs, Kim relates to Toastmasters of all levels, demonstrating that there is always opportunity for improvement. Listening to Kim’s podcasts is like having a pleasant conversation over a cup coffee. Her stories are compelling and she uses plenty of vocal variety to keep the conversation interesting.

All About the Podcasts:

The Toastmasters 101 podcasts are short segments (mainly 15 minutes or less) packed with Kim’s experiences and challenges with her own Pathways journey. She clarifies Pathways using wit, humor, and stories to engage the listener. She doesn’t want you to make the same mistakes that she did. Kim encourages listeners to face their fears and offers advice for each step along the way, starting with choosing your Path.

She answers questions you may have at each Level such as, which Level 3 electives are vital to new Toastmasters? Or how will I ever get through the Level 4 elective Managing a Difficult Audience? Kim barely survived but hopefully you’ll thrive once you know her mistakes and learn from them!
