Still Have Pathways Questions? Support Is Coming

Some toastmasters are adapting easily to Pathways, and some still have a lot of questions.

Bill Simpson, DTM

If you’re in the latter camp, help is on the way. As the new Pathways Education Chair for District 10, Bill Simpson, DTM, will organize additional training opportunities and provide support to Base Camp managers and members.

“I know people are experiencing issues with Pathways that are not necessarily the same as those I encountered,” said Bill. “I want the members of District 10 to know that if they have a problem or need, they can let the Pathways educational team know. Likewise, if they have suggestions for improving Pathways education, I want to hear them.”

Bill is developing in-person and online training sessions for Pathways, including training for new clubs and new club mentors. He’s also planning two new Pathways blogs, one for Base Camp managers, and one for all members, which will offer practical information and the opportunity to comment and ask questions. Look for regular Pathways tips in the district newsletter and emails with updates and information about specific issues.

Volunteers Needed!

If you’ve got a handle on Pathways, Bill is looking for volunteers to serve on the Pathways educational team.

“Obviously, this training effort is not a one-person effort,” Bill observes. “If you or someone else in your club is interested in assisting, please let me know. In addition to helping members in the district, you can apply some of the efforts we will undertake to a number of Pathways projects.”

Interested in serving on the team? Shoot Bill an email to williamsimpsontm@gmail.com.
