If you are an elected Club Officer, Area Governor or Division Governor for the 2014 – 2015 Toastmasters year … or a Toastmaster interested in future leadership opportunities in your club or District 10 … please mark your calendar for the District 10 Toastmasters Leadership Institute on Saturday, June 28th.

Cost: There is NO CHARGE to attend this training event.

The general schedule of events is listed below. A timed agenda will be distributed at the door.

7:00 am: Registration Opens

8:00 am: Important Opening Session

Be in your seat as the first session begins so we can discharge the 2013-2014 leaders from their offices, and welcome the District’s new leadership for 2014-2015. You will hear from our new officers about their vision for the Toastmasters year ahead, and get a preview of Toastmasters’ new educational program!

9:00 am: Role Training

The second session will focus on training to help you fulfill your officer role of President, VP Education, VP Membership, VP Public Relations, Secretary, Treasurer and Sergeant at Arms for the next six months of Toastmasters.

REMINDER – Your club must have a minimum of four (4) club officers attend this training to receive credit towards the Distinguished Club Program.

Workshop #1: Making the Most of Your Toastmasters Websites

Workshop #2: Communicating Beyond Speaking

  • Presented by: Lisa Newburger, District Secretary

Workshop #3: Closing the Sale – Easy as P.I.E.

  • Presented by: Pete Punwani, Club Extension Chair

Workshop #4: What, When, Where? A Toastmasters Open House

  • Presented by: Terri Fullmer

Workshop #5: Prison Clubs – A Benefit to Toastmasters

  • Presented by: Paul Moskun

11:00 am – 12 Noon: Contest Judge’s Training

In this final session after the workshops, you will discover how to be an effective judge and contest participant during the Speech Contests scheduled for the Fall contest season.

The registration line starts forming at 7:00 am!
