“I am Optimistic and Energized”

Debbie Curtis
District Governor

Fellow Toastmasters,

District 10 will face many challenges this year but I am optimistic and energized by the commitment that the new District leaders have shown.

Clubs are busy with club contests and meeting your new Area Governors but please remember that you need to assign your club proxy for the Toastmaster International business meeting. This is where the International Directors will be elected.

How does this affect you? The International Directors are the ones that make and change policy for Toastmasters.

As a member of District 10 you want to make sure the International Directors are thinking about how policy affects the operations of clubs and its members.

The District Trio will have an opportunity to interview all the candidates before the convention. Unless you plan to attend the convention, it is important that the President or Secretary read the website post about your proxy and follow its instructions.

My goal this year is to attend as many clubs as possible because I believe District 10 will only be successful when the clubs work for its members. Please let me know when your club is planning a special event or needs a visit. You can always email me at districtgovernor@district10.org.

I appreciate all the members and club officers that put in the extra time to make sure the clubs operate effectively. My hat is off to you and I appreciate your service. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Debora Curtis
District Governor
