Overview

Toastmasters contests are fun and educational! Contests are held twice a year. In the spring, we hold the International Speech and Evaluation contests. In the fall, we hold the Humorous Speeches and Table Topics contests.

Here is how it works. First, all clubs hold their own individual contests. Then, club winners compete at the Area level, Area winners compete at the Division level and Division winners compete at the District 10 contest (held at the District 10 Conference). For the International Speech only, the District 10 winner competes against winners from other Districts, at the Toastmasters International Convention.

Reminder: Spring Contests Require a "Test Speaker"

The Spring contests in District 10 include the Evaluation Contest. Evaluators in each contest listen to a "Test" or "Target" Speaker, and then compose their evaluations of the speech for the competition.
